There was a run of interest in co-browsing in 2009, and I see Wave as a potential up & coming solution to that.
When Google starts introducing Wave to their GMail user base (and why wouldn't they?) suddenly every corportation will want to upgrade their SMTP servers to make them Wave enabled... Not only will employees be better enabled to work together... companies will start using Waves as a channel to interact with consumers like never before.
Given that Wave's a collaboration platform built on open standards, once Google really unleashes the hounds, I can see that existing Web 2.0 solutions will rush to integrate.
I dare say it could be the start of the "Web 3.0" era.
(P.S. I wonder what it would be like working on a project where all the source code was in waves. Talk about collaborative programming.... instantly distributed across the team, annotated, history tracked, and (usually) compilable...
